CHANGING THE
QUALITY OF WALKING
FOR ALL OF BRUSSELS

PaveTheWay aims to raise awareness about the conditions of the sidewalks in Brussels. For some, a loose or uneven cobblestone means an extra stumble on the way to the office. For others, crumbling sidewalks pose a much more serious problem. People with limited mobility struggle with poor sidewalk conditions on a day-to-day basis, with inadequate systems in place to report and repair broken infrastructure. PaveTheWay seeks to share the voices of the public and to spotlight NGOs working on behalf of people with disabilities living in Brussels.
Why are we reporting on the pavements?
Brussels is an international media and political hub and acts as both the capital of Belgium and the European Union. It has a population of more than one million citizens. #PaveAttention aims to document the state of the pavements and see just how accessible (or inaccessible) the public pavements really are for the diverse population of Brussels.
